Pheasant escaped...

My male melanistic mutant got out yesterday night, I must have not shut the gate properly. I was just wondering is there any chance he will come back or is he gone for good?Does anyone have any good experience with this kind of scenario

I really hope he comes back, Melanistics are pretty rare in British Columbia either that or hopefully he left me some fertile eggs

my birds dont rush the door but come over to the door to see what treats i have for them also melanistics a rare in british columbia because in idaho they are more common than just pure ringnecks
