Is it ok if I give my ducks ground coconut meat, the excess of the coconut once we got the coconut milk. Is that considered copra meal? Theres a place here in bacolod that sell those things P40 per sack, I dont know if it would be useful or if I could mix it with rice bran.

copra meal is whats left after all the oil is extracted. i buy it from the Dumaguete Copra Mill. This week it was 435 per 40kg sack and 22% protein.

with chickens i limit it to between 5 and 10% of my feed mix.Its quite low in lysiene and high in fiber. with goats, which need a lot of fiber I use 50% copra meal

at 40p a sack i would like to see some. can you pm me a supplier? i am not sure of nutritional value but it would probably be ok for ducks. Opa is 12% and your ducks need 14% so provided you ensure they get some ipil ipil as well, you could add 10%. the best indicator is egg counts.

I dont know if its still useful for feed mixed. It is usually called "ugasip" in Hiligaynon. The grated coconut meat, and then squeeze it to get the coco milk what is left is called ugasip, I will ask Mom later she knows the place that sell those ugasip, she said its P40 per sack, Mom is coming here today in Bacolod then tomorrow we will buy ugasip for the ducks then we will buy Lasota vaccine for the chickens. Tomorrow I will pm you the supplier.

Do you consider azolla a good feed for poultry? Im planning to plant azolla in a creek, near our house, as the water level is very low right now. Better to find alternative feed for ducks and chickens than depends in commercial feed that very expensive now a days.

the issue with most freen feeds is the fiber content. This limits then to 5-10% of feed.

On our farm, whicg is very samll, we frow ipil ipil, mallungga, Kamonsil and mulberry for forage trees. We will give the chickens an ipil ipil branch every now and the.

I only know what I have gotten from feedipedia.org when it comes to Azolla.

I lack knowlege on ducks
