Yes, I mix the big ones with the small ones, I thought Orpringtons are docile, I never realised they could be aggressive at times, 

What type of orpington did you mix him into? Buff orp is generally docile. My bbs is agressive against the younger chicks.

Oh yes, i think they behave differently compared to buff. My buff is the most calm. I rarely hear her voice. She is very quiet and i think she is on the bottom of the pecking order.

well, bbs is a great breed. Just don't mix the small ones yet to your existing flock until they can protect themselves. Oz taught me techniques on integrating newbies to an existing flock but i guess it is only applicable when the chicks are big enough.
