Phoenix Crosses

This breeding will probably end up happening if I can’t find a Cochin roo for my girls what colors might I get?
I got the Phoenix for fun because he was just so handsome and my girls are very docile
Ultimately I’d like to breed purebred Cochins and play with color variants

I have high hopes for this young cockerel, He's 2-3 months old, mom is a white Yokohama, and dad was 1/2 serama and 1/2 Phoenix.

My gold roo is now 8 months old and the tail is visibly longer week by week. About how long does it take for the tail to grow out completely??

I find it interesting to watch this roo as his tail gets longer and longer. We're having a very wet, muddy winter. The rooster free ranges walking through wet and mud; and yet the long tail remains clean and pretty. Almost every day I see him perched on the deck railing cleaning his tail. He's fastidious for a chicken. He's now the father of 23 new chicks and, surprisingly, walks along with the hens and chicks calling them when he find a treat. Not once have I seen him peck at the chicks. I'm looking forward to seeing how the chicks turn out-they sure are a hardy bunch; even in this horrid weather.

If he's young you can expect his tail to get longer. Mine are getting closer to a year old and their tails are still growing longer and fuller.
I like the colors of your roo.
Thanks, he's a pretty boy.
He'll be a year old soon, he's 11 months old.
I checked his tail feather shafts, & they're still growing, I hope they get fuller when he goes through molt.

Hope everyone is doing okay. I am raising Pheonix and a variety of other birds... I may do a few cross breeding experiments with my EEs but First have to raise up all the birds. I also plan to do some pure Pheonix breeding. But for crosses I really want to breed this hen... the photo does not do her gold hackle justice. Not sure what color she is.
