I like #1 the best because the lighting and composition is the best out of the 3.

I like the poses in #2 and 3 but the light shines on the back of the chicken and not on the front or face. It looks like the light source was directly above the chicken. Moving the chicken closer to the tree a foot or 2 may have helped (or turning on a lamp by you or using a little flash).

Personally, I think all 3 images are cropped in a little too tight but most notably #2 and 3. I would like a little more room around the chicken, especially at the top. Something more like this.

One more tip that I think would make them even better is having a more uniform background. The starburst effect of the Christmas lights looks really cool and the reflection of the lights in the window adds some color and uniformity but on the left you just have a blank, featureless wall. Having anything with a little bit of color to match the little bit of color of the reflections on the window would have helped balance out the background. My $.02...

Oh thank you for the wonderful tips! I was planing on taking a couple more before I take down my tree and set up. I'll get more background in on the left side. :love

I like them all for different reasons but I like number 2 the best because of the profile of the comb and wattles and the lighting above her and you can clearly see her toes. The contrast of her body against the plain background on the left forces my eye to gaze upon her and her voluptuous curves.

Hi! I have a cannon powershot and I am currently just starting out. Some of yall may have seen my other pictures but now I have sports photography and my horse.

Note #1: I have only used this a couple times and am not a pro so pls be very very simple in your explanations cause idk what some things mean lol.

Note #2: I took screenshots of them because I can’t download… they said the file type was unsupported. Working on that!

Note #3: it’s super hard to get good lighting at the rink cause of the white ice and background. How can I help with fixing this?

Note #4: yes, I know I need to work on lighting.
