Yeah, a bit dark. Also she's slightly out of focus, which is probably because of low light shutter drag. And the foreground logs(?) really crowd her and are a distraction.

The background is too distracting from the bird. Getting closer to it and having it as the picture's primary focus (having it take up more of the overall scene) would be better. Maybe being to the bird's side would have been good, too, depending what you were going for. The bug in it's beak makes it unique, so being to the bird's side isn't too big of a deal.
