I have had the same experience as NC chicken man. In the morning when I go to feed them they are all up and start right towards me like dogs waiting for their food bowl!!

My tractor is 8x8' inside and I keep 25 chickens in it which is about 2.5ft per chicken.

You'll need:

3 4x16' cattle panels
3 8' long 2x4s
2 10' long 2x4s
25-30 3/4-1" galvanized fence staples
32 ft of hardware cloth (can replace 16 ft of this with poultry wire)
2 8x10ft heavier duty tarps
8ft of rope
2 ft of old hose
2 old wheels (from a push mower work well) + bolts/nuts to attach to 2x4s.

The 10' 2x4s should fun the length. Bolt/screw the rear 2x4 at 8' from the front so as to have 2 ft 'legs' behind the rear wall which allows it to roll on the wheels when lifted to move.

Let me know if you need more info but there are lots of plans online.
