looks like a Keeshond -terrier mix...precious!
and that submissive behavior sounds like he just has no confidence in himself...or possible heavy handedness with him by whoever had him in the past.

Wow! Those are some big feet! That pups gonna be a big one. Almost looks like he's got a little LGD in him. I hope you find his owner....or at the very least a good home for him. He' looks very sweet.

I already have an idea for him, if his home isn't found. A co worker of mine was talking the other day about getting another dog. Her lab/shepherd mix died a few years a go at the tender age of 16!

I will mention him to her this afternoon just to put a bug in her ear. He's very gentle with my children and she has 3 grand kids so that would be a bonus.

But I do believe I will find his home, he is still very shy and if you bend over him quickly he will role and pee on himself. But he's very friendly. He also has manners! I got the treat bag out, he seemed to know what that was..and walked up and sat perfectly at my feet. He sits when I pour his food and waits. He goes to the door to be let out.

Somebody has obviously put some time into him. I think his submissive behaviour is probaby just a pup who has found himself in a terrifying situation.

That is hysterical!!! Thank God she didn't get bitten!!! Could you imagine?!

When I worked at a shelter we would sometimes get in young or "teenage" dogs that acted like that....it wasn't that they were abused, just needed socialization. Imagine if that is a puppy who was born in a home and had never ever left the property or seen new people? Terrifying experience, regardless of how well he was treated at his home. With a little confidence building, he should bounce right back. Looks in good shape and cuuuuuuuuuuuute.

Hey great thread love the ending not the most common but everybody loves a good ending. Many blessings to you for taking the time to do the right thing and for shearing the experience.
