I realize this is a very old thread and you have chosen to post to it rather than start your own, which would have been better if you had.
That said, you need to find a way to cover and protect the wound, not simply disguise it by painting something on it. It's been my experience that stuff like "pick-no-more" have very limited success.
What you need is vet wrap, or even duct tape. The open wound is an open invitation to the others to pick at, being attracted to raw meat as they naturally are. Your other option is to isolate the patient until she's healed. If you're going away, perhaps you can put her in a crate and leave her with a friend to care for while you're gone.
