I picked up 5 hens this morning and everything looked fine. We just got to the ferry and I noticed that the splash had a clear nose bubble. Eek! When it breathes, it's wattles are moving more than the others. It wasn't apparent when I picked it up. I just put a little bit of
Timothy hay and scratch in the crate.

What should I do? This breeder has a heritage breed flock and works for a vet, and I know she is serious about her chicken flock.

I could also be very paranoid because of google. Please advise!

Also. Should I just keep the one in quarantine - 3 have only
Been in contact for an hour and one is a flock mate.

Some birds will suddenly show signs of a respiratory disease under stress. Since this is a change for her, she's probably stressed. Let her adjust for a while. If her symptoms get worse, post on BYC.

Thank you - we have her resting in a nice cozy corner today and she seems quite a bit better!
