I have read that sometimes chickens will pick on the different one .
Does this happen with different colors of the same breed or is it if one chicken a different breed.

Here is what I was thinking of getting. If I got 5 chickens 2 buff , 2 dark and 1 light . Would the light one get picked on because he is the only light one ??

I just want to try and thing of everything before I get my chicks .

A little bit of "picking on each other" is normal

Your chickens will establish a pecking order (no pun intended) of who's in charge. There's always going to be someone in charge of the flock even if it's all hens in the group. If you are getting them all the same age

and raising them together then they will work it out and things will be fine. Introducing a new bird to the flock when they are grown will be different and will take some time to do or they will go after the new one.
