My cat is a picky eater. Normally, if a cat didn't like what I bought, I'd feed them the stuff and just be careful to buy a different brand of cat food next time. However, Nemo is allergic to cat food-and it happens to be the only thing he'll eat. I'm not kidding. Dry cat food. It's what he loves, despite the bloody sores he gets. I've tried feeding him "real food"; eggs, tuna, meat scraps, rice & broth, even lentils, which he ate for about a week before deciding he didn't like them. I've tried the "he doesn't eat, he's not hungry" theory. But he just sits beside his full food bowl and cries until I give up and feed him real stuff, or he goes off for a day or two, which I don't want. Sooooooooo..... Anyone have any cat food recipes or tips? Please tell me my cat isn't the only odd one out there!!

Have you tried identifying what ingredient(s) are causing his reaction? There is such a variety of formulas out there these days that you may be able to find one of the more simplified formulas that doesn't have the mysterious ingredient in it.

Red dye is a huge one I hear about. Any food with red bits in it has red dye.

Not sure if ya have a TSC near ya but if so I recommend trying the 4Health they sell. Lots of animals with allergies do awesome on that food. Its healthy with no corn wheat or soy and has real meats in it.
Its cheap to!

Best thing is... If ur cat don't like it, they will give ur $ back.

I am a fan of 4Health also. All of my dog's allergies went away after I started using 4Health!

I like 4Health as well...really cheap for the quality of what goes into it...shows you just how much money they company's like blue food are stealing from people...the ingredients aren't much different and yet its almost twice as much. my 3 cats and dog all eat it and my dogs allergy's went away along with his excessive shedding. Plus it can get it at the same place i buy my chicken feed :):)
