Pics of Canned Goods

Ahhh, thanks everyone:rolleyes:...It's such a feeling of accomplishment when your shelves are full. Last year my fiancee and I did whole tomatoes, stewed tomatoes, tomato soup, chow-chow, and green beans. Then we froze corn, broccoli, cualiflower, sliced pepper and onions, chopped peppers and onions, and sugar peas. This year I hope to do alot more.

We have to make sauerkraut this year. Last year we went to the greenhouse and purchased 36 cabbage plants...planted them and watched them grow...into broccoli:hit Needless to say I froze alot of broccoli and didn't do any kraut.
We just bought a small portable 6x6' greenhouse and we're going to try starting our plants ourselves.

Then I'll be sure to get cabbage

If all goes well the greenhouse will pay for itself this year:D

Oh, that looks so nice!

RubberChickenLubber, would your husband like a California vacation this year, say, around August? The blackberries are ripe then, and the bears, coyotes and birds get way too many of mine, I have 1,000's of feet of them! I'll give him 1/2 of what he picks to take home with him!

Everyone should start canning! It's only going to get worse before it gets better.

I love your picture. I wish I had a space that big to put my canned goods and store bought goods in.

And, I started off with beans.... No one here has died. I use a pressure canner also. My kids love canned beans and eat them cold.

I only did raspberry jam last year. I need to do beans, pickles, jams, and any fruit I can find this year as I have a feeling it might be a good idea.

We also have to get some meat in the freezer. I haven't raised my own chickens for meat, but I think I may this year.

I'm going to can everything I can get my hands on. At super Wal-Mart and Sams Club they're rationing rice. Two ten pound bags per family. I just heard about this the other day. I'm afraid things are going to get worse before they get better.
