Ahhh, thanks everyone
...It's such a feeling of accomplishment when your shelves are full. Last year my fiancee and I did whole tomatoes, stewed tomatoes, tomato soup, chow-chow, and green beans. Then we froze corn, broccoli, cualiflower, sliced pepper and onions, chopped peppers and onions, and sugar peas. This year I hope to do alot more.
We have to make sauerkraut this year. Last year we went to the greenhouse and purchased 36 cabbage plants...planted them and watched them grow...into broccoli
Needless to say I froze alot of broccoli and didn't do any kraut.
We just bought a small portable 6x6' greenhouse and we're going to try starting our plants ourselves.
Then I'll be sure to get cabbage
If all goes well the greenhouse will pay for itself this year
