Well, if Baize is a girl, it won't be the first one who fooled me, LOL. It's rare, but the BBS Orps are not as easy to tell sex on sometimes as other breeds. Gosh, I remember Bama Chicken had a cockerel she was still unsure of at five months old! The comb on Baize was pinkish and much larger than Ebony so was thinking male, but hey, Smoky, his mama, fooled me for quite awhile, acting all butch like she was.

The partridge silkies have that fugly teen thing going!!

I have no idea how Jet will turn out. She looks so blue in that pic! I can see some blue in the partridges, too, unless that's the camera effect.

I'm so glad C got a pair of millies. You can send her down when you're ready for another little girl!!

Cyn, that Baize still has me unsure - when compared to Ebony I think "ah boy" and when alone or next to Lancelot I think "Dang, its a girl". Sarah wanted a boy. But she will be happy with a girl too.


Lori, they are getting out that awkward stage but still have some mohawk going on. LOL I love the babies and cannot wait to find out who is a boy and who is a girl. Jet is going to be interesting, time will tell. Jet is pretty and not sure about the blue tint...sometiems I see it and sometimes I don't. I will ship her down for a little girl...I will pick up the chicken and leave the kid. She turns 14 on Monday and I am thinking this is gonna be a rough year. hahahaha

Oh Lordy I would not wish two sets of 14 yo hormones and attitude on anyone I liked. LOL I am watching the 3 original silkies closely because 2 are feathering the same and one is not. So, time will tell what we have. The littlest partridge (I need to get a pic of that one) is still too little to even think about making any comment on feathering on...LOL

They sure are a lot of fun though...I am really hooked on the D'uccles, they are so sweet.
