Pics of new incubator !. look at the Shoebox inator!with instructions

I would try gluing some aluminum foil all around the inside. That way your water won't eat through the card board and it also would be less likely to catch fire. You could also use some window or door seal foam strips to line the gap around the lid to hold temps/humidity too.

Guys ur the best. also i just fixed it up better lined with foil and instd of the lamp being to close to catch on fire i put chicken wre in a cylindrical shqape around it and its resting on it above the ground . Pics in my next post ! WOOHOO !!!

I'm working on an Avon-inator. I took an Avon box and lined the inside and lid with a layer of bubble wrap. I still have to get all the rest of the components installed but I thought I'd mention it. I think the bubble wrap will help with insulation and keep the cardboard from being effected by the water/humidity.

great man be sure to post pics when you finish i'm going to order 4 eggs soon to test this incubator , meanwhile i just finished another one the barrel cooler inator bator !!LOL I'm ubseesed and i blame all of you !!!!!!

Don't use a cardboard box, use a metal box, or a much larger styrofoam or plastic box. Why not steal a wooden drawer from your parent's room (not your own, of course, fill them with socks), stick on a clear perpex lid and hey presto??

Sarah i just saw ur coment i've sen a drawer incubator on the byc page maybe that can be my next project. Uy ! Thanx meanwhile why dont i fill these bators with eggs already !!
