Nuit took her girls out of the brooder area into the run (barn alley) for the first time today as well. She dug a mortar crater looking for food, of course there is nothing there. And like others I've had raise chicks, she doesn't pay a lot of attention to where the kids are when she's throwing stuff and the chicks don't know to never get behind mom when she's doing that.

They are precious! I know what you mean about throwing stuff. Poor little chicks are tougher than they look.
