The cull cockerels.

I've lost track of how many inquiries I've had on a Craigslist ad that clearly said "cockerels" where the person asked if my hens were laying yet.

Sky, my lightest-colored Blue Australorp. I *almost* sold her, but her lacing came in so much better after her post-broody molt that I decided to hang on to her.

A true steel blue against the hardware cloth.

Thank you. Before her molt she didn't have that nice lacing, but she matured beautifully. Maybe she'll raise me some chicks next year.
