Lucy Langshan has 8 new chicks.

The blue one hatched first. He was early, and came from an egg that's had a hole (covered with a bandaid) since day 11 or 12. I wasn't really expecting him to make it.

Mama Hen watching over 5 of her chicks. Don’t let her seemingly sweet disposition fool you. She is a monster, terrorizing her chicks with multiple pecks when they get near. I think she’s had enough of them.

Yep, when that "I'm raising babies" switch goes off, it goes OFF! From calling the chicks to food to chasing them away from it. Of course the chicks have no idea what happened, Mom was so nice yesterday!
