Yep. We had a sweetheart, but we couldn't keep him either.

General Lee started that nasty business with me when he got his first 'wife'. I would snatch him up and snuggle with him every time he did.. I guess he decided it was better to leave me alone than get snuggled.

No. I'm afraid not. I've been tempted but always talked myself out of it. The only crested chickens I have are legbars.
I have a local friend who has silkies. If I ever decide to raise some, I'll get eggs from her.

I almost bought a silkie cockerel for my naked neck girls. They all have crushes on my big boys though.
I hatched a naked neck out with a brahma x easter egger mixed rooster. I can't wait to see how he/she grows out.

Here is Rider, with mama Lucy. I'm certain he is a male.
He hatched from an egg that Lucy stepped on and made a hole in, at 11 or 12 days. Only the males seem to survive those odds.

I also had a rooster named King!
Just got rid of him, today actually!

He was a GLW. Got rid of him and my Cochin X EE. They were both causing issues.
