I believe Ruby is just trying to protect me. She loves me and I know she is wary of the cat and dogs and probably sees them as a threat to me. Ruby's son, Odie, also loves me and will protect me, but he does not actually attack other animals. Despite acting as if he is the strongest thing in the world, Odie has an intense fear of mushrooms. He freaks out if he sees mushrooms, living or dead.

Ruby sounds like such a wonderful little hen to have around, and she’s so dang adorable! I have to see Odie, he sounds like a character my girls LOVE mushrooms, I cannot imagine them being terrified of them.

I think its attention seeking. I have one that pecks what she can reach and jumps up and grabs my tshirts. She is always the first to hop in my lap if I sit down.

I had one that would grab my strings that were at the bottom of my pants. She would then attempt to hold on while I walked. It was ridiculous

I absolutely love this picture I was taking a picture of the cat through the window (you can barely see the white on her face in the very bottom right corner of the glass) and then later noticed the chicken in the bottom right of the picture
