She is such a good mother. She is the only black hen we have. She has gone broody twice this year. This is her second batch of babies.

Last of the hens to molt! Oh Coppertop, your such a good chicken! All the hens act SO shy during first few days of the molt. They’ll kinda stand around like statues for a day. aloof for sure. cranky for sure. as long as everyone accepts special protein offerings, I now leave them be and never attempt to ruffle any feathers!
