Picture thread of my hens!

Those are adorable photos of your niece with the flock.

I'd be tempted to take in the little round cockerels, too. The cochin/pekin breed has a reputation for being relatively docile, but you just never know and you might have to worry about protecting the little guys from Henry, too.

Your niece is adorable.
I am glad she likes to feed the chickens. maybe she will become a very good helper soon.

And SO glad Lacey is okay. Although I assume she might be bummed she lost her eggs.

I am so happy that Lacey is ok. I've been worried about her. I didn't know she could fly. That's a great pic of her flying across the field.

Your little niece is a cutie. She is going to grow up being a chicken keeper like you.

Bless your heart for feeding the stray roo's. I know how you feel about peace in the coop. You like to keep it that way.

Thanks again for sharing the gorgous pics with us. They made my day.

Thank you! Yes little Lacey can fly! My heart always skips a beat when it comes to landing though!! And I hope she does grow to like the chickens so I can teach her incase anything ever happened to me lol! I'm glad you still enjoy my pictures!

Thank you! Well, if you look at the post I'm about to post then you'll see lol! I hope he is nice, will be gutted if he turns out to be a horrible. It's Roger I have, Henry is long gone, I couldn't stand him! (he went to a new home). Roger should be ok as long as this boy doesn't take the mick out of him like Henry did.

Thank you! Yes she was very upset! She's back to normal now tho. Hopefully she will be able to sit again as I'll let her when she's ready!

I do enjoy doing it! I'm just shocked that people have kept interest! I've been off work this week but a lot has went wrong with the boys from the woods and I've been rushing around trying to sort everything. Hasn't felt liek much of a holiday to be honest. I'm exhausted! Thank you though!! :)

I'm sorry uncle Danny, I don't know how this little boy from the woods got in my coop

Well that's two more little cockerels out of the woods! Got 3 in my little coop tomorrow. Two of which are going to a free range home tomorrow. I like all 3 so going to have to go up in the morning and watch them all to see who I like most as I really can't choose, they're all so nice! But I keep telling myself to pick who I want as either way they're all going to good, forever homes

Well that's two little boys from the woods in their new home. They've gone somewhere really nice together. I collected two hens for the owner as they wanted a couple more hens and wondered if I could help. The man was dead nice and obviously spends a lot of time with them, he was saying he felt bad as he didn't have a lot of corn left and couldn't get any till tomorrow. I was already planning to give him and bag that was donated to me for the cockerels, so he was chuffed about that. You can tell the boys haven't seen girls in a LONG time!!

Thats great you found a home for two more roos. Is there two left in the woods then? They are beautiful roos I don't know why anyone would dump them.

The pictures are great the two hens looks happy to meet the new roo. Jezebell looks like she is claiming that nesting box even if there is another chicken on the bottom. That is so funny.

Tilly would be your shadow if you let her. She is always following you.

Great pics as always and thanks so much for sharing them with us. Also a big thanks to you for your rescue work of the roos.

I have never understood why people dump animals.
I am afraid that they will continue to do so and Johnn will feel continually responsible for someone else's lack of responsibility.
The roosters need to be caught, but if the person dumping the roos could get caught, that would be even better.
But that needs to be a job for the law and not Johnn.

Did you get that last part, dear?
People can be really bad news.
Not your job to arrest people.
