Pictures at the point of hatch

I take pictures of my hatches but only twice have I taken a picture just as a chick busted out of the shell. Does anyone else have a picture of that?

The first one is a Naked Neck the 2nd is a Serama.

Share any pictures you have of chicks just as they are breaking out of the egg

White tailed black japanese bantam. Incubated by a broody. Assisted hatch, as egg had a huge crack in it from two hens passing eggs back and forth. I sealed the egg, but the membrane dried out. The baby pipped, but did not progress at all after a couple of days. I have other pictures and a video just after it popped out, but they wont upload. Baby is healthy and fully feathered now

Love it! I have so many pictures of when my chicks are hatching that I should probably be embarrassed because it reveals how many hours I spend sitting in front of my incubator on hatch days.

I restrained myself from posting a collage lol. I would bet most people do the same but won't admit to it

I would have posted 1000 pictures if I had them, but I never snap the picture at the right time. The Serama was in the shell when I pressed the camera button but due to a delay in the camera he popped his head out as the picture took. I had to make a thread just for an excuse to post it.

Thank you! Looking back, that was sooo many hours of my life. Best hours I've ever wasted. lol
