I just had to help one of my Serama babies out of shell. This morning all the other eggs hatched and one was pipped but in distress. So, I started to see if it might be stuck and as I started from the pip area, blood started coming out so I left it for about 4 hours or so. I started again and not much blood was coming out so I opened it up some more and realized that part of the cord was wrapped around the foot. I got my surgical gloves and tool to snip it off and when I did notice the foot is swollen and part of the inside didn't go all the way in. I used Styptic powder for bleeding, but not sure what else I can do for the belly. Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance. She will stay in a separate incubator until I can fix her belly.
