Pictures of Chicken Runs

My hobby is making videos of my Seramas, so I change it up all the time. It's Shark Week this week so they have props. Last week it was Dinosaurs....it really keeps life interesting for them. They adapt to the new items pretty quickly. Crazy Chicken Lady Level II - achievement unlocked. LOL

Videos of them in their run.

I never would have imagined… so creative and so many questions pop into my mind.
I bet your guest bath is amazing 😜

One pic is rotated but you can see the idea.. the young ones the love log tunnels.
I added a ladder.
I also hang things from the roof for them to peck, usually cabbage or melon ( not in pic)

I like to landscape my run with a lot of plants, mainly natives and edibles such as blueberry bushes, vining berries, and grapes. I have about 30 plants in there right now.

Here's a chicken tree I made to give them more vertical space, made from cottonwood and manzanita branches!

I also have roosts made from tree branches and 2x4's throughout the run at different heights so they can get up off the floor and hang out in different areas. I do deep litter in the run which also entertains them. I periodically add wood chips/mulch, leaves, straw, pine needles, etc. to the run that they love to scratch around in. A bonus of deep litter is that you never have to clean your run and it's completely odorless (even after heavy rain)! I also have grazing boxes for them with wheat grass.
