So, I finally rechecked the calendar and they are six weeks old tomorrow.

You can see in these pictures how bad Tyra's legs are now.

They are truly buddies. Doodle wanders off but comes running the second Tyra quacks.

See how her feet dont touch the ground?

So, this is what you get when you cross a black and white pied muscovy drake with a fawn and white runner duck-

They are both gorgeous of course- but I love that cheeky looking face on shot of Tyra, she really does look like such a character.

I am not sure how. She moves sooo much better out on the grass and dirt than indoors on my linoleum. I am hoping her knees will callus up and not injure easily. I looked online for someone that might sell crippled duck socks- but didnt have any luck.

Ollie gets around well out on the grass too- he can actually get almost upright on his hocks for a few " steps". Tyra being a normal shaped duck may have an easier time getting around than a Runner with legs problems, Ollie's legs go out to the side now- a very bad case of splayleg. He hasnt had a chance to build up callouses as he lives in a padded portacot- but when he gets outside he scoots around and searches through the grass and has a ball of a time.

You may be able to fashion something fairly easily yourself for her - maybe with some soft baby shoes or socks.
