doing fine other than one is insane wants to brood mid winter in the rockies lol. Didn't get them all as some were laying but heres some updated pictures just before major snow storm were we got about a foot of snow.






White one is 3 weeks older than the 2 newest babies and decided to go for a visit. The runt barred rock didn't appreciate it to much and got right in Happy's face.

I'm good how are you? My birds aren't laying many eggs either. I got one today!

So far we are mid Dec in Idaho and still getting 7-9 eggs most days without adding heat or light. Little more squabbling over nesting area though as now 8 of 9 all want to get in same nest, the cornish x can't get up there. there are 3 in between hay bales but as cold as it is they all just wanna use one. Got a foot of snow the other day, they waited to let the calves trample it down and out they went with the drake and roosters lol.

This year has been a weird one for this new flock being free ranged, they forgot to read chicken rules lol. Suprisingly enough though both the roosters are getting along well and protecting the girls, watching now the Red has matured. Goof balls are both breeding the 9 hens, Have 3 chicks in the house, and up to 7 more to hatch next week,while waiting for a good day to fix the door to the insulated shed.
