Pictures of my girls in the snow!

It looks like scaly leg mite (I am FAR from an expert though). Just looking online, it seems like something called ivermectin is used to treat this by putting drops on the legs and rubbing it in to kill the mites. You could probably buy it at Tractor Supply---our local store has a tube of it for $3.99. Or you might find it online. Your chickens are so pretty and seem so sweet. I know you want to take the best care of them possible. I love the photo of the chicken in the little wagon.

I think i'll try that, Thanks,... is this it?:

It looks like the right medication, but you should check it out with someone who knows more about it. Maybe on the forum for diseases or health issues??

Wait, what's wrong with Gloria? I missed something.

Can you post a photo for us?

If it's scaly leg mites, you can do some simple things to treat like rub Vaseline all over her legs or dip her legs in olive oil. Yes, it's kind of messy but it will suffocate the mites and won't hurt her. Might make her legs dirty cuz the dirt will stick but you can give her a bath in a few weeks once the mites are cleared up.

Gloria has had scaly leg mites ever since we got her... and we have tried vaseline and olive oil.... doesn't seem to work. We want to try this medication.... but I want to make sure its ok for her.

it will work good. i have used it in the past just for that. I have also heard of people using neosporin (not the pain addidtive! use no meds that have 'cain' in the name or ingredient). It does take awhile for them to go away and the legs to start to look normal. Keep up the treatments if using the vaseline or oil.

no, no NO!!!! we can not have Gloria in any kind of discomfort!!!!!!! hey, is that why we keep getting the 'Gloria eye' from her????

The photos are just great! love your dog. the booties made me spit my coffee all over my screen.

Ok - I think i'll give it a shot... first I'm gonna check my local feed store and see if they have it... if not, i'll order it online.

Could be why she's always looking so angry, but I think thats just Gloria being Gloria!

LOL don't mention the booties to my dog... she still has nightmares about it....
