I saw someone was taking preorders for Montezuma (Mearns) quail. I got all excited and went to check out the pricing. At first I saw $40 and thought that meant per dozen. Then I read a little more and realized they are $40 PER EGG!

Good grief! Yeah, some egg pricing gets utterly ridiculous. That's how much I see emu or Japanese Phoenix eggs go for. With those prices, I might as well get a tag and go 'hunting' and fill the Mearns limit. (who said they have to be dead!)

Everyone's quail are so adorable. I wish I had eggs to put in the incubator ,but my quail have stopped laying eggs. Of course the adults are still cute I will try to get more pictures soon.
