PICTURES!

If I had a set coop I would separate the run into two sides and let the chickens in one for 2 weeks and the other for two weeks so that the grass has time to rest and re grow.

It was tiniest cut ever! I must have hit a vein because I had blood everywhere. I worked through the blood and now there's blood all over the fence and my tools. The fence will probably attract predators now knowing my luck.

Great pics, Tris!

Isn't it amazing how quick they can strip their run. It's so nice to have warmer weather & green stuff for them to munch on.

We've been letting our older flock out to have supervised free range time in the evening before bedtime. They have been in heaven.

I thought about that. I've heard of other people doing it but I have 24 chickens and the yard is only 40'x50' anyway and I don't want to take any room away from them. I've always thought that a free range chicken was a dead chicken but I may change my mind seeing how happy they were with all the grass and bugs around.

I always enjoy looking at your pics...you take good ones. Life is good! Thanks for sharing.

Is the blood picture to nasty? LOL If it is to "graphic" I'll take it off. It's a tiny cut, I didn't even feel it.

I don't think it was too graphic....I just wasn't expecting to see a bloody hand when the pictures popped up.

Ok, I thought it would show y'all how much I love my animals that I would bleed all over the place to keep them safe. Not to many people would do that for a flock of chickens. LOL
