If I had a set coop I would separate the run into two sides and let the chickens in one for 2 weeks and the other for two weeks so that the grass has time to rest and re grow.

I thought about that. I've heard of other people doing it but I have 24 chickens and the yard is only 40'x50' anyway and I don't want to take any room away from them. I've always thought that a free range chicken was a dead chicken but I may change my mind seeing how happy they were with all the grass and bugs around.

Ok, I thought it would show y'all how much I love my animals that I would bleed all over the place to keep them safe. Not to many people would do that for a flock of chickens. LOL
