Pig Help!

You are not likely to have this problem, but I thought I would throw it out there anyway. If she is hostile to the pigs right after giving birth, this is what my uncle used to do. Right after having pigs the mother is thirsty. So instead of giving her water, he would give the grouchy females beer. A lot of beer. The object was to get her snockered. She would lay down, go to sleep, and then the pigs could nurse. By the time she sobered up she would accept the pigs. I read about this in a James Harriot story and I laughed because I remembered that was what my uncle did. When I had pigs, my sows all knew and trusted me. My dad once brought home a big Poland China sow who hated everybody and she was vicious. She was a good mother, but working with her or her pigs was not fun.

s pushing kind of) and she is going back to her nest and panting!! Has all morning!

You need a lot more straw than that.
:thumbsup

Lots and lots of stray/hay. When she is ready, she will nose out a nest. The nest will be a banana shaped.
Her beathing will become labored and her opening will become fully diolated.
Offer eletrolytes prior to the drop. I don't know where you are located but the photo show her in the Sun.. Remember.. PIGS DON'T SWEAT.. she can over heat in hot condition and prolong the labor.
Now is also the time to inspect all the tiny holes in the pen. The offspring will be tiny as kittens. They tend to escape if there are breaches and gaps in a pen.
