Pig people, Need help with cheap feeder ideas

Ok, I have to admit, that our pigs are positioned to blow the smell right into the richy houses. We are on a small island of county right in the middle of the city.

However these are the same people who pay top dollar for eggs and fresh pork and chicken meat, so I have to be careful

Well.....we finally found 30 minutes to build our pig a new trough. Nothing special..or fancy, but it works! I took 2 logs....burried them in a hole about a foot, and screwed the trough down to them. I hope he doesnt get this one moved! So far, so good!
Hopefully, next weekend, we will be able to make his pen larger. IF it doesnt rain, and IF thursdays tornado outbreak misses us. ( Looks like we are in for a bad storm.) UGH!
Anyhow, here are a few pics of his new trough. Its roughly 3 ft long, and 12 inches wide at the bottom.

That should work really well. Looks good, I might try that. I wanted to get our pigs a trough, but DH said no. Where do you put all the extra goodies you give them if you don't have a trough? I found a big pan I'm going to try, we'll see how that works.

One of the pigs was sneezing yesterday, scared us pretty good. But she seems ok today. I really think she just go food dust up her nose.

Its been years since i've seen it, and i'm sure it's gone by now, but my dad used to raise hogs when i was a kid and he had this thing for the youngsters that was some sort of solid water (heater??) and it had the nipple waterer in it, with the top 1/2 of the very top cut off it for filling.
Then there was another one just like it that had been cut in half with legs welded on it and bars acrossed it for a feeder. Was heavier than the pigs were! They could eat from it, and move it around, but rarely were there any who could flip it over.
We're getting DD's market hogs on friday, and i've spent the past 2 days of my 'spring break' building the pen and the house, and tomorrow, I FINISH

I am so sore i feel like a wet noodle! I used rough sawn boards to make a gate, a fence panel and the 4'x6' house. And after spending 2 days cutting, hammering, and putting together, Ouchieeeee, that kid had better appreciate Mom! I'll try to post pics when it's all said and done.

Please do post your pics. I have about 2 weeks until I get my pig(or pigs) and need to throw something together. I have most everything I think I need(fence, posts, material for shelter) just like to see what others do for ideas....

Here is were my hogs stayed. They had a pasture to roam in as well. This set up has worked very well for me.

This was a shelter that we used for the mules until we chose to get hogs.

We live in a low area any only keep hogs in the summer time when it is usually dry.
