I am just starting out in the roller pigeon world and have noticed that many lofts keep their kits bred very closely. Is it possible to breed siblings? If not, how close can you breed them? Thanks.

Inbreeding and linebreeding are okay. Try to avoid breeding sibling to sibling. However, son to mother and daughter to father can work out quite well depending on what you're breeding for. Also breeding cousins together and half siblings.
Really what it comes down to, is keeping the best of the best and getting rid of the rest. That will keep your gene pool superior. Adding other proven rollers in will help keep your flock from becoming too closely related. That is, if your goal here is to have good spinners. If it's just for fun, then breeding isn't that important.
