Do it....Do it!! I can't believe I haven't had anything to do with pigeons before. Its a learning curve but definitely worth the effort.

LOL.
No not yet but they pretty much walk right up to us when we are at the beach.
I bet I could catch one with a net really easily.
I would not actually do that but I bet I could.

I am sure you could. Especially if you throw some food down for them. The guy who sold me mine catches his with a net bc his loft is so tall they can fly up out of reach.

You could petition to have a dovecote built in the park for 'your flock'.
