It just dawned on me where the 101.6 cm measurement comes from.
A while back on a thread called Buffalos and Steers, Sometimes just referred to as BS, I posted plans for making a trap for capturing buffalos with wings. @CCUK ,,,,,,,,, you must have read my post

The openings were 101.6 centimeters wide. The buffalos with wings could only go in, but not out. All other buffalos could go back out.
Then the buffalos with wings, would have their wings surgically removed and set loose again. At that stage, they could go thru trap back out.
This is what they did with the wings. They did not want them to go to waste

So now we ALL KNOW how Buffalo Wings came about
