one of my new chinese owls flew to the next house over and i cant get it back he isnt trained and hardly eats any food and is being sold in a few days what do i do

Do you have him whistled trained to come in for food? Hoefully he will return to your loft tonight. There is no simple answer to your problem. Sorry.
 
There are bird traps you can buy where you put another pigeon (especially a mate) on one side of the trap, and it entices the other pigeon to fly in. I only recommend those if you supervise though, so that bait pigeon doesn't get eaten by something. I've never actually seen them work, but have never tried them for a more gregarious bird. You could also try putting down meal worms in the same spot three time a day, then in a trap, or moving the worms closer and closer to a loft that you could then encourage the pigeon to fly into. People trap feral pigeons for baiting and training dogs, so perhaps look into the methods they use. Sometimes getting the pigeon wet with a hose (not on a hard spray that may cause injury), will wet down the bird enough that it has more trouble flying and can be netted.
