Pigeon flew away :-(

I didnt realise there are so many! Which would be the best breed and why or is it depending on what races you fly for i.e short race/ long race

Well id posted bout not loosing any pigeons except to some things beyond my control ect, but turns out i needed humbling.. as right after posted i went back out to look at my birds again and one of my new roller hens was dead in kit box corner. i couldnt find any possible reason for her passing, especially since she had been so hyper hour before when was out feeding chickens. only possible problem would be egg bound, as had hens act like that before but then just drop one then another right on grate. i found what looked like egg yolk ect with some green slime. i wasn't wanting to breed her yet till fly condition and see ability till year or two old, but hadn't flown flock day before and fed double small training ration, which i do to pump them up. oddly now without the trouble maker that she was, rest of kitting tight and flying high and long now. odd as she was the best flier just wouldn't kit or drop/play in any reindeer games, as never seemed to get tired enough to come when called till needed drink. i have one more trouble maker in that kit a cock that wants to perch and also try to nest around, as well as also won't come when called sometimes. only had these from second week to middle of month, so hoping no more hidden surprises, as called guy and he said they had been nesting, laying and had paired up already some between about three to six months old.

The Janssen Brothers (Louis, Charel, Arjaan and Sjef) are a famous and very successful pigeon racing family from Belgium. That in my estimation would be the best base line to start from.

These are lines or strains, not breeds. All homers are the same breed. Well, except there are show homers, bred for conformation, and then those bred for performance.

I have about 70 racers, about 70 whites for releases, plus the fancies :).
I have homers, rollers, fantails (Indian & American), pouters, Frillbacks, mookees, satinettes, and some crosses.
