Pretty bird.Chicken strength Elector PSP is 1 oz per 5 gallons of water.
If my math is correct that's 6 ml to 1 gallon.
Is that to strong? I figure a gallon will treat my chicken coop, the pigeon loft and the pigeons. LOL
View attachment 1155120 This is the little one I can tell needs serious help. I've been trying to throw some of my feather fixer chicken feed their way too.

My "horse fly spray" is probably a 16-32 oz bottle and has lasted my 60+ chickens, 2 goats, 3 dogs, AND housing more than 1.5 years. I would think a gallon might be WAY more than you actually need.

Some things can be harder to deal with on a seasonal basis. And SOME birds will have stronger immunity to fight these pest off. According to studies 90% of parasites were found on 10% of the birds, even within the same flocks. And so, if I find someone constantly struggling more than others, I don't include them in my breeding stock, breeding for resistance. They actually went away on their own sort of, I just provided them with bath water constantly and they disappeared over time. Also they showered in the rain, but I don't know if that does anything. Now they're molting too so yeah I don't know.

Also, the density of birds can make it so there is no such thing as seasonal issues according to my vet.
Molting seems like a good way for birds to help rid parasite annually. Issue is the molted feathers probably still have eggs and such just waiting for the next opportunity to rear its' ugly head. Don't presume just because you see less evidence that they are gone. And don't assume water kills things... how many kids get showered and wash their hair regularly only to end up with lice. Plus I live in the PNW where it rains half the year. Northern fowl mites and lice thrive and rain helps. Guess what, lice LIKE it clean NOT dirty as some would have you to believe. And ducks who spend a lot of their day in and under water still get them as well. Looking at the surface only tells you part of the story.

Just saying, don't let your guard down.
