Pigeon Lover needs ur HELP!!!!!

Hi am am a beginner with breeding pigeons . I have had bad luck so far they have laid 3x now and every time they hatch out something gets a hold of the babies and kills them. What can i do to prevent this? We have breeder boxes but the wont use them so they lay the eggs on the ground she lays on them and so does dad but something still gets them. Please help

Welcome to BYC. Do you have your pigeons in with other poultry? I would suggest starting a trapping program for rats as they may be killing the squabs.
