Pigeon Talk

Gotta love Febreze! :D
Hubby always tells me when the indoor birds are starting to smell. I think I get immune to it. :hide
Had to move my ducks to a bigger box yesterday. They were getting too big for the large tote, and it would get stinky in no time. I had planned for them to be outside by now, but we took another nosedive in temps, so we’ll have to tough it out for one more week.

Trip’s squabs are due soon (I’m thinking tomorrow or Sunday) but for today, I setup a Wyze cam on her so I can peek in on her today from work. :D

Omg I thought we had a couple days to go, so since I’ve only checked Trip’s eggs once, I thought I’d see if they were still alive. One is pipped!!!
She only wing-slapped me once. I didn’t look at the other egg, after I saw the pip. :clap

I tried to get some action shots too but mine are pretty wonky :gig
Those are great! :clap

Yay!!! How exciting! Don't wing slaps hurt!? At least homers do! What about sats?

Well, I reached in slowly, talking to her... she let me touch her chest. Then she backed up a little and revealed the eggs. I scratched her chest again, all seemed ok. Then I tried to slowly grab an egg. She just flapped one wing at me, and backed up a little more, and barely swatted my hand. I hardly felt it. :D

I have a parrot harness from when I had cockatiels. I had one tiel who was very tame and would tolerate it. I used to take her to a local nursing home to visit the patients and she really brightened people's day. I rehomed my tiels when I moved a few years ago, but I think Olive has an excellent personality to go outside with it when the weather warms.
