Pigeon Talk

Separated all my cock birds today. Too much bickering going on. Will pair them off with hens in a week or two.

For sure! She is ok. Looks down in the dumps though. I hate seeing her stuck in the cage but it is for the best. I have had her out briefly a couple of times but I hold her wing so she can't try to flap. Another two weeks and I'm hoping I may be able to take the bandage off. Is doba still in the cage as well? Hopefully she should be on the road to recovery too.
Doba is also frustrated still in the cage although she feels fine. the scalped spot on the bacik of her head which was about the size of a dime is finally closing, now about pea sized. My concern was that a cockbird would peck at that area while 'driving' her to nest. She is not a calm bird and everyday I promise her I'm going to let her out tomorrow...then I go back on my word.

Ok, so I let Doba out this morning and found out she can't fly.:hit
She does not have full use of her right wing. I should have picked up on this earlier but she can move it and you have to look close to see it hanging a tiny, tiny bit lower than the other. So again she's back in the cage.
Oh no..:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs
