Thought I'd do a midweek toss. Let them go from my usual place, they went straight up turned and were gone. I jumped in the car, they were waiting for me when I got home!

This is how long it took me to get back! I think I'm going to start going a little further now! They should beat me back everytime! I may invest in an ETS timer.

That is inspiring. I might try some tosses.

Are you doing tosses from all directions, n,s,e and w.?
Before you go further, perhaps try from the opposite direction...

At the moment im releasing them south of my home so they are flying north. I want to get to about 15 miles then I'll try releasing them north of me. If you do it, it is so exhilarating to see them return. A really good feeling. I'm really beginning to understand how people can get totally hooked on it!

Yes, you never should just release from one direction of you plan on ever taking them on road trips and such. Or racing

I want to. But until I get a bigger loft and can increase my numbers it's a bit difficult so I doubt it will happen this year. The birds I have at the moment will be an excellent start for breeding and having these three returning and gaining experience will be good to help train youngsters.
Do you want a rabbit or 8!

Pretty good, and she's not even a racer. A number of mine can walk faster than me...

Oh, I remember you saying that! I don't want a rabbit, but let me ask my family, surely somebody wants a rabbit? A butcher might take them...
