Serin
Crowing
What illnesses do I need to watch for since she was outside? She's eating, drinking, alert, no discharge from eyes or nose, and has healthy droppings. In just worried how thin she is and hoping its just from a lack of food.

I agree w you! @servin probably knows what canker looks like and pox, mosquito borne viruses are an issue with pigeons and coccidiosis...but I too think this bird is just malnourished.I think the low body mass is due to low nutrition.
Just My thought.
Previous owner is no longer, and someone let all his birds free. These are not wild, feral birds ,but are used to being fed in a loft.
Being in the wild freedom, these domestic birds have a difficult time finding enough food.
I don't think she is suffering any illness, except malnutrition.
I think she looks healthy in herself, eyes bright, feet nice and red, ...The wing started sagging. I did a figure 8 wrap to stabilize it for another couple days.

I was following, but must have missed an alert. I'm so happy! she will have a great life. Is there a band? How old is she?If you've followed the other thread about the injured racing pigeon found in Ninjasquirrel's driveway, you will know that another pigeon is coming to live with Olive and I tomorrow. I told Olive to be on her best behavior and not to be rude because the new bird won't be feeling too well. She said she's fine with a sister around as long as she doesn't expect to sleep in her fluffy pink bed. I told her I'll order a second one.

She's here. She's so thin she must have starved for a while before being found. I can feel her keel and its sharp like a knife down her whole front. She's eaten a lot and drank a lot and now is resting. I treated her for mites and lice though didnt see any. She's filthy and needs a bath. I cut off the sling that was put to hold her wing to check it and she is able to hold that wing folded well so debating whether to wrap it again. Under it was very dirty and damp so I want it to air first. She is tame and does not fight handling but may be only due to her exhausted state.
I named her Rosie.
you are doing everything right! be sure to take pics when the two meet...What illnesses do I need to watch for since she was outside? She's eating, drinking, alert, no discharge from eyes or nose, and has healthy droppings. In just worried how thin she is and hoping its just from a lack of food.
Cool on the race team! and Where/how did you happen to get a feral?8 birds today...!
A batch of racers, all flyable except for one.
Oh wait, 9a young feral that is probably 3 weeks. I asked, and it's perfectly legal. Went for one without eggs\babies. Got him tonight.
