She almost took a bath. Was very interested but didn't get up the courage to jump in. Olive didn't want to bathe today and once she lost interest so did Rosie.

(I wash the counters before anyone cooks.)

It was just a 24hour thing I guess.

Sorry it took me so long to catch up.. Im glad you got over it quickly!

They were released Sunday morning. I'm not sure why it went bad but the weather has been a bit 'British'! I know Scotland has had rain and further south we've been in an oven! I wouldn't have thought it should have affected them that much though.

It was a little over 500 miles. Where I am in UK I'm fairly central so I suspect that I am in the flight path of alot of birds. There is a liberation point at the football club a couple of miles away from me for southern or northern federation races. And I have a flashing sign on my roof that only pigeons can see advertising free meals and a perch for the night!

Are you leaving that sign up on purpose?

Lost my best cockbird today - hit by a car. Now I will have to finish raising his babies....RIP Leoti

Sweet lil squeakers!

The fantails are looking better now. I put a bowl of water in for them. They still have green poo on them. They stood in it but that's about it.

The younsters are doing good too. They have both been evicted and are now living on the floor!

I love those 2!

She's set up in her new house. She has about 4 times the floor space and enough room to flap her wings freely. Olive checked it out and the two sat together unprompted for about 30 seconds but ultimately olive didn't want to stay in there with her.

I saved a pigeon today! it was a feral I saw, hobbling and it's feet stuck together with fishing line. I sprinkled some corn I brought for the ducks, and got it to come close. I then grabbed it. Got my pocket knife out and started cutting. I got one foot totally free, and the other mostly, but string still caught on the left toe... it slipped out of hand a before so got it all, but it should make it.

Lost my little roller baby today I have no idea what happened.

Loft fly will be happening an hour and a half before sunset.

As promised, I released the stray with mine today. She flew with them shortly then I lost sight of her. When mi e came in to land she wasn't amongst them. About 5 minutes later guess who returned! View attachment 1859157she had a good old wander around and fluttered about with mine, then I called them in for a bit of dinner and hey presto! View attachment 1859159ash is furthest away and the new red is closest on the right! Looks like I've got me a keeper!

Benn a busy couple of hours after work. I actually started construction! The back is mostly done, new floor down and the side cut then I had to down tools for fear of upsetting the neighbours, else I'd still be at it!

Just found this thread. Gonna follow to keep tabs on lil' Rosie. You're doing a fine job with her. I think it would be awesome if you got her a friend to spend time with although that might make Olive more jealous! The Hispanic man that said he would take her never called back so I guess he didn't really want her at all. So glad we found her a great home. Us chicken folk dont know anything about pigeons

Hello all! Sorry I’ve been absent. Just been super busy.
I enjoyed the Rosie and Olive story while catching up.
CCUK needs to update us on the loft build. Looking good so far!
Bio, your two little ones are looking good!

Was watching the birds yesterday and I really love the look of Egan (Trip/Rocky offspring) now 13 weeks old. Looking pretty feminine?

I think Im finally caught up!

Now Olive just mounted Rosie!!! Pigeons are very flexible apparently.

Like before (but in reverse) she kinda fluttered and fell off before they really made contact but they were trying, it wasn't just that she sat on top of her.

I saw it and I was dying hes not a bad boy...hes a girl! Super cute with Rosie and Olive. Are you gonna rename Rosie is she's a boy? Are pigeons always able to make babies or is it a once a month type thing? Once again, completely ignorant
