In UK its been August Bank holiday which is 3 days holiday Unfortunately I haven't been at home to do a great deal on the loft. But the painting is done apart from more perches. I started fitting some of the mesh this evening. My new nemesis is stapling!

the pigeons were flying and decided to come and inspect!

I'm hoping to have the centre meshed up tomorrow so I can get the fantails out. They've had enough of being in the garage.

Spoiler: Not pigeon related but awesome!

this is what I've been upto this weekend. I have some vintage tractors and every August Bank Holiday we go to the club show. First time I've done it but I had a go at tractor pulling!

There was also a tank that just had to have a go!

Its been an awesome weekend and I'm totally knackered!

That is a very attractive loft! Your birds are going to be happy to claim it!

Thanks. I hope they like it. Its taken alot more to do than I thought.
Yes, I'm driving. I was in the wrong gear first pull and stopped halfway then I did two full pulls! It's been a great weekend but I'm so tired now. Back to work tomorrow

Sorry... I named it Winter on account of his colors! I'm not that big on names that reference media Idk why. I like every one to have a unique fitting name.

Quaker parrots have been in chicago since before 1970 but their colonies are scattered and localized.

Interesting! I guess I just never noticed them. I spent most of the time in the loop though. On rare occasions venturing to belmont or Chinatown. Other than that just the northwestern burbs.

I've never seen them in the loop either. Sone do live by the science museum though.

Oh ok. I think I only went there once or twice in the 5 years I lived there. It's good to be home in Indiana. Chicago is nice to visit but I did not enjoy my time living there. Night made me very nervous.

I flew the birds today, a coppers came out of nowhere and started chasing my birds. The one missing is, my feral. I really liked him, but I guess he just doesn't have the same instincts like the others.View attachment 1889563

They are a pain. Hopefully your missing one returns.

Made some progress today.

Big push tonight. One side is 99% finished. Just a few more perches to add and a bit of inside trim. But finished enough to let the fancy pants out

poor things didn't know how to fly But they're quick learners and got themselves onto a perch

it's getting dark early now so tomorrow I'm sure they will be exploring there new home!
I still have quite a bit to do on the right side but that should be done by/over the weekend. I'm just so happy to see the fantails out. They needed this.

You should start a thread about the tractors. I'm always curious to know about something new to me..
