Pigeon Talk

Quail and pigeons may get along:idunno
During winter when I had both chickens and pigeons housed together in Garage Loft, I had no problems:idunno

I don't know what's up with the red girls. One raised a chick and is acting horribly, she's upset the whole flock. Her sister is the pigeon killer, or starts it and the others join in. We will see how things go as the rooster grows.

noun
  1. a person who becomes involved in a place or situation where they are not wanted or are considered not to belong
So there's this feral bird I'll call Interloper, trying to join my flock. He roosted last night on the edge of a vent cover on the outside of the loft and joined mine when they came out to fly...still hanging around.

I think you should entice orphan into your coop and what better way than this..

I would have all feral pigies in my loft if I could find a batch in white..[/QUOTE]
Haha! When i first saw the dish I thought you were going to suggest I eat him!
[Thanks @holm25 for that suggestion but I'm too soft hearted. :idunno]

I too like ferals, I probably just watch what he does and see if he succeeds in joining the flock - What's one more beak to feed? You will notice he has a name. I only wish he was a hen. I assume he comes from the lumberyard flock which appears to have built up their numbers from the single digits they had dwindled to over the winter.

:goodpost:Pigeon is SMART. since knows winter is coming and knows his???fate is dim.:(
I just have a FEELING you may be renaming to Interloperene.:love
Interloperette would find a warmer welcome for sure. but the bulging forehead says cockbird to me. I will hope you are right.:fl

Interloper roosting next to loft. Safer, higher, more protected spots within 10 feet. I hope he stays safe.
