More pics! Loper's mate #735 is a proud papa and much calmer than his mate. I was able to grab the chicks and look them over - looking good! Also put some wood shavings in to cover the plastic nest bottom.

Yes I thought they look like BB s. Can you shoo out the invaders to let Boomer and Beau take over the nestbox again?

I've been out to lock everything up and Beau has gone back onto the nest. I'm going to have to keep an eye on this.

Yes it is a racer. It overshot its home loft by about 70 miles. I've never had pigeon as food before. I should imagine it must be like quail. Only a king pigeon must have more meat.
