Alternatively have you got a food mixer like a nutri bullet? You could put some of your regular feed in and blend it down and mix a little peanut butter in.

I have low confidence she can feed both. I put them back briefly yesterday eve and I think she only fed the larger one a bit. Also she is one of the pair of hens that abandoned Doo at this age, so ... Yeah, later today I'll look for a small bag of grower and some chick grit.I'm not sure to be honest. Is mum still feeding them? If she is it may be worth leaving them and see how they grow. If they're not getting enough food from mum then I'd be helping her out. As for the flock raiser could you get a fresh small bag to hand in case you need it? The peanut butter sounds a good idea to help supplement.
I'm thinking about that too(my bro has one of those fancy new type blenders I could useAlternatively have you got a food mixer like a nutri bullet? You could put some of your regular feed in and blend it down and mix a little peanut butter in.
I bet that will work nicely.
Since you keep birds in the house, I'd like your advice on the non-stick electric skillet I normally use for cooking. I feel like I can't use it while raising babies inside because I know non-stick coatings can kill birds. Is this true? Would I be able to just put the birdies outside, cook, and bring them in an hour or so later? When I had Doo or another one indoors I ended up eating mostly carry-out.![]()
That was my thinking on Teflon as well. When it is new,,, the undesirable fumes do get released. After some time of use,,,, that pan kind of runs out of fumes available to be releasedTeflon fumes can kill birds at high temperatures... we have some which are very old and have used them before learning they can be harmful and have never had an issue from that. I'd be most concerned with new pans, and if you burned them. We mostly use newer ceramic and copper frying pans now.
So my pan is well used, almost ready for replacement. If I keep the temps below 300° do you think I could risk it?? I need my scrambled eggs in the morning. Micky D's gets tiresome! That was my thinking on Teflon as well. When it is new,,, the undesirable fumes do get released. I also do think that temperature,,,, like being burned,, is a big factor![]()
